   Volume Twelve
• The Amboy Dukes
In the 1940's, teen-agers used to dress like this and scare their elders.  Folks said the whole generation was running wild.  Later, the beatnik, hippie, disco, punk, grunge, and rap lifestyles scared folks too.  Darn those wayward youth.

Afraid In The Dark •
Rose, the cute red-head, snuggles up to Derrex, the vengeful man, while "the guard with the skin disease that was eating all one side of his head" peeks in.

• Night School
Maureen keeps turning in mushy love stories in Professor Parker's class.  She is filling the Professor's head with notions, seemingly.  He tries to kiss her, she pushes him away.  Then Lolly starts turning in mushy love stories.

Three of a Kind •
Up in the hills, this is how they dress when they're expecting virile young Carl Linden.  The Los Angeles Times book review warns, "...straight whiskey, raw words and primitive deeds."

• The Girl In 304
A mystery where the body is found on page one.  Back cover says, "Now hear me boy 'cause it's gettin' late, a yaller-dressed woman is the devil's bait."  Just look what poor Lucy is wearing tonight...

The Forbidden Room •
No not the Men's Room.  Includes a lady's dark dreams about some fraternal organization's ritual room of the grand poo-bah, or whatever.

• Twelve Chinks and a Woman
(Later editions were tastefully renamed: Twelve Chinamen and a Woman).  The scene on the cover is repeated every few pages until a monologue at the end "paints the big picture" and explains why.

Reformatory Girls •
"Caged girls and their keepers."  Mean Mrs. Grindley bosses the girls around all the live-long day.  Then they wreck all the chairs and pose for this brooding nightmare cover painting.
