Vintage Paperback Covers
   Volume One
• The Big Time
The She-creatures use radio waves to knock down He-creatures.
Actually it's all about the Change Wars between the "Snakes" and the "Spiders".  All righty then.  Click any cover to see it full size.

The Dragon Murder Case •
A midnight swimmer sees a monster, but hey, it's just a fountain.
"Murder lurks at midnight! A killer lives underwater and whisks his victims away from the scene of the crime!" (Gosh!)

• Go, Man, Go!
Hot rods, cool cats, and sleazebags. Sign me up!
No doubt read by 'Speed Racer' during his formative years.
Too bad the sleazebags didn't make it to Speed's show.

Heads Off At Midnight •
Wait! My nails aren't dry!
The back cover reads, "Three weird barbers, shaving a head
without a body - a prelude to a grim conflict." (Prelude?)

• Possessed
Let's see, it says here, "She hated the man she loved."
She also liked the man she disliked, and felt so-so about the man she didn't care either way about.  A classic lover's square.

The Case of the Caretakers's Cat •
Nice stark cover layout.  Don't much care what it's about.  Back cover says, "A rich old man dies."  I'd tell you more but I don't want to ruin it.

• The Last 14
Man, I'm a sucker for fishbowl spacehelmet covers.  Oh yeah, and pedal-pusher space suits too.   "Five women and nine men, thirsting for love, torn by passion and lust."  (Don't you just love science fiction?)

Shameless Honeymoon •
The author may have also considered the title, "Shameful Honeymoon".
After all, the line between the two is sometimes a thin one.
"'Anything for a thrill!' was her code."  So she got married.
