Accent Lamps

They come in all shapes, sizes, and materials, and serve as points of interest as well as illumination.  The smooth, flowing, plastic designs of the 70's are a personal favorite.

Really cheap desk lamp or modern sculpture?  Wait - it's both! The popular Big Bulb lamp came in a couple of styles.  This medium-sized one one had a removable stand. The designer of this biomorphic wonder is unknown, yet the lamp proclaims the coolness of any owner.

This funky souvenir lamp made from dead cactus was very popular during the Wild West craze of the late 50's. A highly sylized red and white mushroom/mushroom cloud design that looked as good during the day as it did switched on at night.

The Lava Lamp of the 60's introduced a whole new concept to motion lamps, which had been around since the 20's. A classic motion lamp which worked from the heat of the bulb.  This beauty cost $1 (with the bulb!) about 20 years ago. An updated motion lamp for your psychedelic party, the swirling color patterns were cast against the milk glass globe.
